OMS Musical

If you are planning to try out for the musical, make sure you give your completed audition form to Ms. Bauman AND that you sign up for an audition day.  Auditions will take place on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 p.m.  You only need to pick one day to come.  Break a leg!

Washington, DC Trip

Attention Grade 8:  Sign-ups for the Washington, DC trip deadline is Sunday, October 15!


Fundraising is due to Ms. Fleming in room 230 before school, 7-7:30 OR after school from 2:15-3:15.  All fundraising forms and money are due by this Thursday (10/12).

Math Scavenger Hunt

The 4th Annual OMS Math Scavenger Hunt will take place on WEDNESDAY, October 18 AFTER SCHOOL from 2:15-3pm. If you like a competition and sometimes like doing math problems but really like ICE CREAM, then you should get a group together for the scavenger hunt. See the fliers around the building or Mrs. Vekasy in room 209 for more information. 


The open house for Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School will be on Saturday, November 18.

Any student interested in applying should try to attend. 


There will be a presentation for grades 7 and 8 on October 25 for Southeastern Regional applicants.

Please sign up in guidance if you are interested. The last day to sign up will be October 21st. 

Student Council

The OMS student council is back this year! The Middle School Student Council will be comprised of equal representation from all academic teams in the middle school. Five students from each team will be selected to represent their team in the council, which advises the principal and the council advisor, Mr. Block, in student issues and also acts as a voice for the student body. They also promote school spirit and community service in the school community and the Stoughton community. The council will meet 2 times a month. If you are interested in being on the student council, you can pick up a nomination packet starting next Wednesday, October 4th from the outside of the chorus room. Grab a copy on your way by after lunch!

Norfolk County Agricultural High School

Any 8th-grade student interested in Norfolk Agricultural School can see Ms.Coughlan for more information. 

Anime Club

 Anime Club is starting on Monday, October 23. Go to room 114 for a signup sheet.

Cultural Exploration Club

Do you know what is “CEC?” If you don’t, you should check out this newest afterschool club at OMS!  CEC stands for “Cultural Exploration Club.”  This club explores different cultures in a fun way. We have exciting activities every month, such as making special artwork with Mrs. Jarasitis or playing cultural-specific games with Mrs. Nutting or Mrs. Lee.  The first meeting will be on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in Room 121. Don’t wait!  See Mrs. Lee in Room 128 to get a permission form. All students are welcome!

Creative Writing Club

Attention all writers! Beginning Tuesday, October 17, the new OMS Creative Writing Club will take place on Tuesdays from 2:15-3:15 in room 205.  See Ms. Whittaker in room 205 or Ms McElligot in room 113 for a permission slip.
