Mr. William Donovan

O’Donnell Middle School Principal Katrina Crowley is pleased to announce that Mr. William Donovan has been appointed the Interim Dean of Students at OMS. Mr. Donovan started this new role on December 5, joining Mrs. Crowley and Assistant Principal Mrs. Kim Kellogg on the OMS administrative team.

Mr. Donovan has been a Grade 6 math teacher at OMS for 16 years and will transition to supporting students in this administrative role. In the role of Interim Dean of Students, Mr. Donovan’s focus area will be student support, with Mrs. Crowley and Mrs. Kellogg continuing their responsibilities in the areas of instructional leadership, management and operations, family and community engagement, and professional culture, in addition to student support.

“Mr. Donovan has been a well-respected teacher at OMS for a number of years and has been actively involved in our school community. He has worked with students in various roles, including Grade 6 math teacher, morning supervisor, and summer school teacher. His experience both inside and outside of the classroom makes him a perfect fit to join the OMS administrative team this year as the Dean of Students,” Mrs. Crowley said.

In order to make this transition as smooth as possible for students, Mrs. Melissa Donovan will be moving from her current role in the OMS Math Department to the 6B Math teacher position, effective December 7. A permanent substitute math teacher will be hired for Mrs. Donovan’s classes.

“We want to thank our OMS community for their patience during this transition and look forward to working with Mr. Donovan and Mrs. Donovan in their new positions,” Mrs. Crowley said.
