As you know, student safety is a top priority at the Gibbons Elementary School. Multiple staff members will be outside helping to direct traffic and assist students coming into the building.  Here are a few reminders: 

Please keep in mind that only students and staff are allowed in the school building.

Drop-off

Drop off begins at 8:00 am

• Again, we cannot stress this enough that crosswalks must be used! Remember you are your child’s first teacher.

• There is no longer an offering of morning recess.  Students should not be dropped off at school prior to 8:00 am.

• Your child should be ready to exit your car as soon as you pull to the curb and come to a complete stop.

If your child is not ready to exit your car when you pull up to the curb at the sections aforementioned, please pull into a parking space and utilize the crosswalk and walk your student over to a staff member. 

Pick-up

Dismissal will begin at 2:45 p.m.

• Kindergarten students will be picked up near the Kindergarten playground.

• Students that get picked up or walk in grades 1-5 will slowly be dismissed from the side doors onto the playground.
