The Jones Early Childhood Center held a Black History Month Assembly before February vacation. Students listened to a virtual read aloud of "The ABCs of Black History," a children's story that introduced a different Black historical figure for every letter of the alphabet. There is a lot of buzz about butterflies here at the Jones! Many of our classrooms are learning about butterflies with a variety of approaches. In Mrs. Velozo's classroom, in addition to watching the metamorphosis into adult butterfly from egg right in their own classroom, they have many butterfly stories to choose from and create hands-on butterfly art projects.
